Photo Experience Days Photo Exhibition
Once a year n Lyndhurst we put on an photography exhibition.

I say "we" because most of the work is done by PED regulars.

All of the prints on display are of those of people who have attended a PED.

There is a 30 fee to enter three prints into the exhibition.  This covers the cost of printing & mounting (A5, A4 and A3 size), as well as a covering the fee to rent the space for the three days.  The images are your choice, however at least one of them should be from the local (Solent) area.

All of the prints are available for purchase over the weekend, but none can be taken until the exhibition ends on Sunday afternoon.

The exhibition is open to anyone who has been on a PED in the last 12 months.  While you don't have to attend or help with things, it is strongly encouraged, and normally quite fun.

We are going all out for this years exhibition and hope to have over 100 prints on display.  Photos will be judged by the public attending the event.

Dates: Friday 3rd August (18:00 to 21:00), Saturday 4th August (10:30 to 19:00), Sunday 5th August (10:30 to 16:30)

Location: Lyndhurst Community Centre - new venue with the hope that being more visible will get more punters through the door.

Deadline:  Unless agreed otherwise, all images must be uploaded by 15th July 2018.

If you'd like to exhibit, please get in touch and I'll send a link to a Dropbox folder for you to upload your selected images.

Please make sure they are named with the size and title of the image.

For example :  "A5 - A moody sunset over Southampton.jpg"

So you should upload 5 different images, and please upload the highest resolution file(s) that you have.

Photo Experience Day Review
"I have attended many of Michael Palmers PED events over the past 2 years, ranging from informal socials wandering around London to more structured events such as Long Exposure, Wire wool and Light Painting events. I have improved my photography greatly during that timeframe, not just switching from Auto to Manual, but the more important aspect of composition of the subject matter. The events are educational and enjoyable but done in an informal setting without the 'pomp & ceremony' that other professionals seem to adopt.   Highly recommended."

I've been using Aurora HDR 2018 for a while now, and when used properly (ie sparingly) I've been really rather impressed by the results possible from it.  This photo, for example, was merged from 3 images taken at different exposures (exposing for the buildings and sky).  Although good results are also possible to obtain from single images.

However, don't take my word for it, download the free trail version for yourself and give it a go.
